Minneapolis Rowing Club Boathouse

This rowing club boathouse sits 90 feet below the Lake Street Bridge on the Mississippi River in Minneapolis. Architecture Minnesota (March-April 2002) heaps praise on the light airy structure, remarking that "the slow undulation of the roof trusses was inspired by the arc of rowers' oars as they dip and rise in the water." The boathouse roof is wedge-shaped, rising to peaks in the northeast and the southwest corners, "like two prows."
