Projects: Public/Non-profit
Jeremiah Program
Creative financing is often critical to the success of non-profit projects and Flannery Construction worked closely with the entire team to develop a budget for this project. We structured the alternates in our bid so that when the building was out of the ground, we were able to use contingency monies awarded for utilizing more efficient systems and sustainable materials in buildings. The ENERGY STAR rated white roof system has significantly reduced their cooling costs. The four-level, 88,000 square-foot building includes 38 two- or three-bedroom apartments, underground parking, program space and a small first floor gymnasium.
Charlotte Commons
Charlotte Commons is a two-phase, $8.6 million new construction apartment building project in Minneapolis. The two phases of the project include a 35-unit and a 50-unit apartment building. The building was designed and constructed with an emphasis on efficiency and sustainability and the project meets the criteria of Minnesota Green Communities. Begun in January of 2008, the first phase of Charlotte Commons is complete and the second phase is under construction with completion expected in May 2009.
